Love Island’s explosive reunion show will be back this year to give everyone an extra dose of drama after the final.
The Sun revealed the reunion will see all your favourite Islanders back together again after the final to discuss the show and reveal any developments in their relationships since leaving the villa.
Speaking to The Sun, a source close to the show said: “The reunion will be filmed after the final next week.
“The extra episode will give fans a glimpse of their favourite couples as they take on the outside world.”
The last reunion show was aired two years ago back in 2019 and was described as an “end-of-series wrap party”.
The show promised to give “friends and foes the first chance to see each other again”.
And there is plenty of opportunities for dramatic reunions this year as favourites to win Millie and Liam could find themselves confronted by Lillie, whose bombshell revelations about Casa Amor nearly split the couple for good.
Meanwhile, Kaz and Tyler could come face-to-face with Clarisse, who was previously coupled up with Tyler before he went back to Kaz in a move that Clarisse labelled “fake”.
Chloe is almost certain to find herself coming in contact with the three girls that Toby found his head turned by, including recently dumped Mary and Abigail.
And finally Liberty and Jake will be seen together for what could be the first time after leaving the villa, after tonight’s preview suggested the broken up pair would quit the show ahead of the final.
This year’s Love Island has already turned out to be one of the most dramatic seasons.
The show was hit by the most Ofcom complaints in its six-year history following the controversial Casa Amor postcard.
Viewers were left fuming after a photo of Teddy kissing Clarisse during a game of Truth or Dare suggested to Faye that he had been unfaithful in the villa, despite sleeping outside on the daybeds.
Faye’s furious bust-up with Teddy also attracted a record 24,910 complaints after viewers branded it as “toxic” and “difficult to watch”.
It’s racked up nearly ten times more complaints than the next nearest controversial villa moment when Dani Dyer broke down after seeing footage of then boyfriend Jack Fincham getting his head turned by another girl.
If the reunion episode is anything like this year’s series, it’s sure to bring the drama.
