Marilyn Manson has spoken out publicly against the abuse allegations brought to him by Evan Rachel Wood and four other women.
Evan took to her official Instagram account yesterday to name Marilyn, real name Brian Warner, as her former abuser.
The 52-year-old rockstar took to his own account today to share a statement with his 3.6million followers but not before turning comments off on the post.
On his main page, Marilyn shared a paragraph of black text on a white background.
He wrote: “Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets for controversy, but these recent claims about me are horrible distortions of reality.”

Marilyn continued: “My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners.
“Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
After Evan and the four other women came forward with their allegations, Marilyn was dropped from his label, Loma Vista Recordings.
The company realised a statement to confirm as such.

A spokesperson for the recording agency said: “In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately.
“Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”
The star was also dropped from an upcoming episode of US TV network Starz fantasy drama series American Gods.

The actress claimed: “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson.
“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.”
She added: “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail.
“I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.
“I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”
