Peppa Pig fans went wild when they recognised actress Amelie Bea Smith starring in ITV’s latest drama, Hollington Drive.
The 10-year-old actress is playing the role of Eva in the drama, which began on Wednesday night.
But she already boasts an impressive career as the new voice of Peppa Pig, taking over the role from Harley Bird in 2020.
It was reported when she took on the famous role that she could earn up to £1 million in a year.
The actress also recently starred as Flora Wingrave in the creepy Netflix hit The Haunting Of Bly Manor.
Amelie is also well known for playing the role of Daisy in BBC1 soap Eastenders from 2018 to 2019.
Viewers at home were shocked when they realised they recognised the little girl playing the role of Eva and took to Twitter to voice their surprise.
One fan said: “New ITV drama….looks good…..watches first 2 minutes….it’s the Peppa Pig voice girl….now can’t hear anything else! #HollingtonDrive #peppapig.”
Another person tweeted: “Y’all, it’s the Peppa Pig gal #HollingtonDrive,” followed by a string of excited emojis.
“It’s Peppa Pig from Bly Manor #HollingtonDrive,” pointed out a third.
Someone else chimed in: “Omg its Flora from The Haunting Of Bly Manor #HollingtonDrive.”
Speaking about securing the role as Peppa Pig on This Morning in June, the actress revealed that her first-ever word as a baby was “Peppa”.
Amelie added: “Well, I don’t sound exactly the same as the other people who have done Peppa Pig before but I obviously listened to it a lot when I was younger.
“So I kind of went from there and adapted it slightly to my voice how it is normally.”
Hollington Drive is a world away from Peppa Pig however, as the new ITV drama series follows two sisters whose lives are turned upside down when a child goes missing.
The show also stars Line Of Duty’s Anna Maxwell Martin as the chaotic Theresa and her older, more sensible headteacher sister Helen, who is played by Rachael Stirling.
