Ruth Langsford has paid tribute to her “amazing” mum Joan with a trio of sweet photos on her 90th birthday.
The Loose Women host uploaded the three photos to Instagram, along with a touching caption.
She wrote: “90 years young today! Mum that is! She is amazing… still full of life and fun and always up for a glass of fizz! Happy birthday mum.”
Ruth, 61, finished the caption with some fun emojis like a birthday cake and a balloon, and the hashtag “90”.
Eamonn Holmes’ wife could be seen wearing a patterned red, black and white blouse, with her golden locks in her trademark bob.
Her mum Joan kept things monochromatic with a forest green ensemble as they enjoyed their glass of bubbly.
The mother-daughter duo smiled wide as they posted for the picture together.
Another picture saw Ruth present her mum with a framed print to commemorate her birthday, which Joan seemed to love judging from the smile on her face.
And in the third, Ruth watched as Joan read the birthday card which was decorated with delicate butterflies.
The post quickly racked up more than 78,000 likes, with many of Ruth’s 1million followers also leaving a comment.
Ruth’s hubby Eamonn replied to it with a cheeky comment, writing: “A glass of fizz? Like mother like daughter. Many happy returns Mrs L x.”
Her Loose Women co-star Katie Piper wrote: “Wow hope I’m like this at 90! Happiest of birthdays.”
And Kelle Bryan added: “Happy birthday Mummy.”
One follower commented: “Bloody brilliant! Happy 90th to your mum.”
And a second said: “Oh Joan – bless her heart x.”
Ruth’s husband Eamonn recently made a huge career move, ditching ITV after the duo were dropped from their Friday This Morning hosting stint to join GB News instead.
The 62-year-old said his new job is “one of the most exciting yet”.
He said in a statement: “I’ve spent my career on broadcasting firsts and start-ups, and GB News is one of the most exciting yet.
“It’s just the kind of shake-up the industry needs.
“I’ve admired GB News from the beginning for its clever mix of punchy debate but delivered with warmth and even some fun.”
He finished: “To me, the greatest honour of journalism is to give a voice and respect to the unheard, and that’s exactly what GB News is all about.
Meanwhile, Ruth will stick to her hosting job on Loose Women, but it’s reported that she will unlikely return to This Morning.
