Scarlett Moffatt has said she called the Samaritans 20 times after winning I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and becoming Queen of the Jungle in 2016.
To everyone else, Scarlett was believed to be “living her best life” but behind closed doors, the TV star was dealing with anxiety.
The Gogglebox star was battling demons so bad, she felt she had no other option but to call the Samaritans for help.
Scarlett spoke to journalist Bryony Gordon on her podcast Mad World about how she felt she “didn’t have the right to be sad” because of her fame.
The 2016 I’m A Celeb winner shared that she had had a great time on the show which led to then landing “cool roles on TV”.
Even her family and friends thought she was happy – so much so that she didn’t share her true feelings with them.
Scarlett eventually spoke to a Samaritans adviser after sleepless nights.
The reality TV star said that the adviser made her feel “brave” for getting in touch.
After speaking with the Samaritans adviser, Scarlett explained to Bryony that she had been able to sleep properly and felt reassured.
Speaking out about mental health gave her the courage to speak to her friends and family too.
Recently, Scarlett has joined the ambassador panel for the Samaritans and is sharing her experience struggling with mental health in a bid to help others.

Many celebrities have to endure the dark side of fame, dealing with online trolling and worse.
Scarlett said she felt “consumed” by the trolling and online hate she has personally received since stepping into the spotlight.
Speaking to BBC Breakfast, she said she finally felt “accepted” after winning I’m A Celeb – but then the trolling and negative attention followed.
The star went as far as to share that people said: “You should just go and kill yourself, I shouldn’t have to look at you on my TV,” adding that the sadness consumed every part of her body.
