Shaun Wallace has been a quiz show regular for more than a decade now.
The “Dark Destroyer” is a fan favourite on The Chase, and has previously been a contestant on Mastermind, The Weakest Link and Fifteen to One.
But little is known about his life outside of quizzing.
Shaun, 60, is actually a practising barrister, and balances his legal duties with filming the hit ITV series.
He has worked on a number of high-profile cases, including murder, manslaughter and drug trafficking, and has even taken part in hearings at the Old Bailey.
He first got involved in TV quizzing in 2004, when he won Mastermind – acing his specialist subject of FA Cup Finals.

He went on to appear on The Weakest Link, Are You An Egghead? and Fifteen to One, quickly becoming a familiar face on the UK quiz circuit.
Shaun landed his role on The Chase in 2009, adopting his nickname “The Dark Destroyer.”
He told The Sun : “It was actually Bradley who started to call me the Dark Destroyer, and there was absolutely no side or sinister reason behind it.
“So no, Britain may be less PC, but guess what? I am proud to be black.
“If ITV were to ask me, or consider changing it, then I would tell them this, ‘I am proud to be black, I am proud to be dark. I want the name to stay as it is’.
“And because of my intellect – and I destroy people because of my intellect – then so be it.
“That’s the way I use the term the Dark Destroyer, and I am not offended. And I hope other people aren’t offended either.

Shaun’s popularity as a chaser grew and grew, as his quick wit and sharp tongue made his appearances on the show especially entertaining.
Last year he became a reality TV star when he took part in ITV series Don’t Rock the Boat – an adventure series that challenged celebs to row the entire length of Britain.
Shaun struck up an unlikely friendship with his teammate, ex- Love Island contestant Jack Fincham.
He said: “I just love that boy.
“He knows I love him. Me and Jack definitely had a bromance going on and everybody could see that.”
But Shaun largely keeps his friendships, relationships and personal life out of the spotlight.
He became embroiled in a bizarre battle with Wikipedia last year after the website falsely claimed he was married to a woman named Matilda Bray.
It suggested Shaun and “Matilda” got married in 1990 – when actually no such woman existed.
Shaun sent a strongly worded letter to Wikipedia in an effort to get the strange claims taken down, and he is currently thought to be single.
