Sir Billy Connolly says he would like to reincarnate as a 'big white horse' when he dies

Sir Billy Connolly has revealed that he wants to come back to life as a horse when he dies.

The comedy great, who has starred in films such as Brave and The Boondock Saints recently revealed that he believes in reincarnation.

But when asked what he’d like to come back as, he said: “A big white horse. I can’t imagine anything nicer.”

Sir Billy, 79, said he has thought about having his ashes scattered on the River Clyde in his native Glasgow, as well as at Loch Lomond and he fancies having a headstone with the epitaph: “Jesus Christ, is that the time?”

But Sir Billy, who has been battling Parkinson’s disease for eight years, says he plans to be around for a while yet.

The comedian expressed that he would like to come back to life as a horse

In his new book, Windswept & Interesting, the comedian penned: “I have longevity in my family. My grandfather lived ’til his late 90s.

“So, I could live another 20 years… if I look after myself. But I don’t really want to look after myself.”

Sir Billy then went on to add that he’s not too keen on consistent exercise and only eating healthy foods.

He continued: “I don’t want to exercise like a madman and eat lettuce all day. I want to sit in front of the telly and eat chocolate biscuits, OK?

“My wife (Pamela) tries to get me to eat healthy food, but I eat what I please.

“The way I see it, if I want to eat a bag of Licorice Allsorts for lunch and spend the afternoon battling explosive diarrhoea – that’s my f**king prerogative.”

The news comes after the comedian recently revealed that he can no longer use his left hand to play indtruments due to his Parkinson’s disease.

Talking openly on BBC Radio 2’s Steve Wright In The Afternoon, the star confessed that he tries to not feel too sorry for himself.

He explained: “I try not to feel sorry for myself. I do it by thinking of children who are sick, and they handle it, so the least I can do is get on with it.

“I have good days and bad days. I had a bad day today, when I was coming on the way here, I was walking like a drunk man, but it’s cured itself so I’m quite happy.

“It’s a peculiar disease, it strikes when you least expect it. My left hand is no use to me anymore, so I don’t play my instruments anymore.”
