Strictly Come Dancing finalists Rose Ayling-Ellis and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice have vowed to give it their all as they prepare for the live final set to take place on Saturday night.
The dancing duo have stormed their way through the competition after the EastEnders actress showed a real talent for dance early on.
And as the pair prepare for their final few dances on the beloved dance floor, the celebrity couple are just inches away from lifting the glitterball trophy.
Throughout their journey on the BBC One dance competition, the dynamic duo were swarmed with romance rumours as they won over the viewers at home with their complex routines.
Now, in an interview with the Daily Star and other publications, the couple have revealed how they plan to “celebrate their relationship” with a slew of emotional performances on the big night.
The 31-year-old pro couldn’t help but gush over his celebrity partner ahead of the live finals, as he confessed he would have been “jealous” if Rose had been partnered up with anyone else.
He said: “I think it’s been a fantastic journey and I think you develop a lot as a dancer.
“It’s been lovely and I always say I’m the one privileged to be able to do this journey – if she was with somebody else, I would be quite jealous.
“I always say the same thing: I might be the dance teacher but for me the highlight has been spending every single day in the studio with Rose because the positivity and the happiness that I had every single day for 14 weeks has been joyful.
“It’s the first time I’ve said, ‘I don’t want this to finish’ because with Rose it’s just been lovely.”
Throughout their time on the show, Rose has been able to go from strength to strength as a dancer with the help of Giovanni, to the point where the Italian stallion argues that she could be “a professional”.
The pro dancer gushed: “She really wants to learn the dance. The way she really wants to get the dance right on the Saturday night, it’s fantastic, it’s rewarding.
“And the fact that she said she can’t really hear the music and she related everything on muscle memory and everything, I think it’s quite remarkable.
“I think it’s remarkable when you watch it on Saturday night and sometimes watch it back, the video, I completely forget that she’s deaf because the way she’s dancing, it’s like a professional right now.
“So very, very proud teacher but more than anything else, I’m happy that I have discovered a fantastic friend for life.”
For the series final, each couple has been tasked with performing three routines in a week, one which the judges have picked, and one that the couple have picked, as well as the all-important show dance.
The pair revealed they will be performing their Quickstep from musicals week and their couples’ choice in addition to their show dance which will be a “celebration of their relationship.”
Giovanni teased: “The show dance is a celebration of me and Rose [and] our relationship together in the sense that we found this beautiful friendship and that’s what we want to celebrate.
“Saturday night has to be a celebration, we’re in the final, then que sera sera.”
