The Chase host Bradley Walsh was the target of a cruel jibe from quizzer Shaun Wallace following a quip regarding The Walking Dead.
It comes as a contestant confessed they were a big fan of the show and wanted to use their quiz money to head to a convention to meet the cast.
Bradley welcomed Alison onto the panel as she geared up to answer a series of questions before going up against Shaun – but her introduction allowed for Shaun to land a great target in a dig at Bradley.
Alison, who won £4,000 in her cash builder, was asked by Bradley what her hot topics were and what she would do with the prize money.
She said: “My family and my children, we love The Walking Dead. We’ve been to a couple of Walk Stalks here in London.”
Much to fans’ shock, Bradley said: “Sorry, I don’t know what that is.”
She explained: “So, a Walk Stalk is where you go and meet all the cast from The Walking Dead show. We’ve met Norman Reedus, David Morrissey.”
However, Bradley confessed he didn’t know what the show was and poked Alison for information.
She responded: “The Walking Dead’s been around for a long, long time. It’s got Andrew Lincoln in it. You don’t know, do you? Zombies and the apocalypse!”
Taking aim at his team, Bradley told her that she gets enough of zombies at work.
But it seems Shaun had an even better remark to throw back at Bradley as he made a savage swipe at his intelligence – rather than targeting the contestants, which he normally does.
He joked: “Apparently zombies eat brains, so Bradley will be alright,” which, luckily, got the desired effect as Bradley burst out laughing.
Bradley responded: “Good gag, I like it. Very good.”
Alison will be able to get another day out sharing her love for the TV show, because she made it through with £4,000, while two other members of the team contributed to hit £10,000.
They built a strong team at the end and they managed to beat Shaun and split the £10,000 prize fund between them.
