Watch Me Whip/Nae Nae rapper Silento has reportedly been charged with murder after allegedly shooting his cousin according to DeKalb County Police Department
The star who was catapulted to international fame with his hit single was arrested on Monday after reportedly shooting his cousin, Frederick Rooks according to the DeKalb County Police Department.
His viral hit which topped charts across the globe saw figures such as Hillary Clinton and Ellen DeGeneres taking part in the viral fance craze.
Silento, whose real name is Richard ‘Ricky’ Hawk is said to have gunned down his cousin on January 21, with cops finding Rooks in the middle of a street with several gunshot wounds.

The incident is said to have happened on Deep Shoals Circle in Panthersville, Georgia at around 3.30am, with Frederick being pronounced dead on the scene.
An incident report from the police department confirmed that he sustained gunshot wounds to his face and leg with eight shell casings being picked up at the scene.
In a statement shared across social media, the department said: “Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34.
“On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks’ death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle.
“Hawk is in the DeKalb County Jail charged with Murder.”
It is currently unclear what the motive behind the attack was, with cops still exploring every avenue of the investigation.
The rapper’s arrest follows several run-ins with the law, being arrested in October for speeding, allegedly hitting speeds a high as 143 miles per hour.
He was also charged with two counts of assault in September after reportedly threatening people with an axe.
