80s pop legend Toyah Wilcox terrorised by violent ghost who strangles people

Toyah Willcox has been terrorised by a violent ghost.

The pop legend, 63, was petrified after witnessing plenty of paranormal activity from a number of spirits at her Worcestershire home.

And when she staged an exorcism in a bid to scare them off, things turned nasty when one of them strangled someone.

Revealing her torment, Toyah said: “I’ve always experienced haunted properties because I’ve constantly lived in very old places. This house is absolutely extraordinary. It is a very active house.

“There are two obvious ghosts that are sisters and they’ve always been around. The evidence is mainly a whiff of cigarette smoke and perfume.”

One of Toyah’s friends even claims he was possessed by one of the ghosts during an incident in the attic.

And pal Rula Lenska came face to face with spirits when she visited the property.

Toyah said: “Rula was down in the cellar and she could hear children screaming and she passed out. When she came around, she said she was surrounded by children.”

The frantic singer, whose hits included It’s A Mystery and I Want To Be Free, called in a team of experts from TV series Celebrity Help! My House Is Haunted including paranormal investigator Barri Ghai.

She told them: “I suppose I just want proof. I want to know it’s just not me.

“The majority of the spirits I really, really like, and if they feel they’re in the right place at the right time, then they’re welcome. If they’re evil, they can f*** off!”

During the investigation it emerged the property is haunted by a ghost called George, who is thought to be a soldier who fought during the English civil war in the 1600s.

And when Barri went to the attic, he felt he had direct contact with the spirit and felt like he was being choked.

In shocking footage, he is seen saying: “F** hell, something just grabbed my windpipe.”

Moments later, he admits: “F** scared the s*** out of me. Something just grabbed my windpipe. I couldn’t breathe. I couldn’t get a breath in. That’s what scared me. I thought I was gonna die.”

Barri is now convinced the property is haunted.

He said: “That to me is validation. We have clear intelligent responses telling me that we need to help them.”
