The One Show viewers flocked to social media to comment on Matt Lucas’ weight loss transformation during a recent episode of the BBC evening talk show programme.
The comedian and Great British Bake Off star appeared on the The One Show to celebrate World Book Day on March 3, 2022.
As well as discussing his new book, My Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Silly Book of True or False, he also revealed that has spent time working on his weight loss journey and becoming “fitter”.
His appearance certainly caught viewers’ attention as fans took to social media to praise Matt’s weight loss transformation, with one saying: “Matt Lucas is looking fabulous on The One Show tonight. He’s very charming to meet too!”

A second commented: “Well done Matt Lucas on the weight loss,” while a third added: “Matt Lucas is looking great on BBC The One Show! Looking well!”
Fans were certainly wowed by his new look, with a fourth saying: “Looking good Matt Lucas on The One Show.”
It is not the first time that his dramatic weight loss has been noticed, with fans commenting on the star’s appearance at the National Television Awards 2021.
Matt appeared with his fellow Great British Bake Off host Noel Fielding, as well as judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith via video link at the event, where the programme won Best Challenge Show.

Fans yet again took to social media to praise Matt’s appearance, with one saying on Twitter: “Bl**dy hell Matt Lucas has lost so much weight, well done him.”
The comedian has also publicly addressed his weight loss, with the star candidly talking about his journey on ITV daytime talk show Lorraine.
He told host Lorraine Kelly: “I lost some weight, I needed to take the edge off, because I put on a lot of weight in lockdown.
“I’ve still got a bit of a tum and a bit going on here (pointing to his chin). I’m not a skinny minnie.”
