It’s fair to say soap star Kevin Kennedy got more than he bargained for when he checked into the tanning booth on Friday night (November 25).
The former Coronation Street actor, who used to play fan-favourite character Curly Watts on the cobbles, decided to make light of the sticky situation and shared his blunder with his followers on Twitter.
It seems Kevin had only wanted to top up his tan before the weekend arrived, but he accidentally got himself locked in the tanning booth.

Mr Kennedy is used to learning his lines, but unfortunately he failed to read the clear shop sign which instructed customers not to use the door as the lock was broken.
Kevin was still stuck in the booth when he took to Twitter and told his followers: “I didn’t see this sign I’m currently locked in and they can’t open it.”
The tanning shop sign stated: “Please DO NOT use this door, the lock is broken. Use lock on outer door only. Sorry for any inconvenience.”
It meant Kevin was left red faced when he had to call on staff to help him get out of the booth.
But Corrie fans were in stitches and couldn’t help making jokes about Kevin’s turbulent tanning session.
One fan teased: “But imagine how bronze you’ll look when you get out”, with another joking: “You are going to be a good colour when you do get free.”
A third sympathised as they admitted: “Oh good god. You out yet? I locked myself and my daughter out of our apartment on holiday recently – stuck out on the balcony”
Another referred back to a Corrie episode where Anne Malone died in the Freshco’s freezer.
They added: “This is like Anne Malone in the Freshco’s freezer all over again.”
Luckily for Kevin, his time imprisoned in the tanning booth came to an end as a staff member came to his rescue and fished him out.
He wrote: “The nice lady managed to free me – much to the relief of worried fans, who posted up memes and exclaimed: Yippee!”
