Dan Walker cheekily snubs BBC co-stars as he attempts to talk to Strictly dancer

BBC Breakfast star Dan Walker was left in an excited mood when he discovered one of his Strictly Come Dancing co-stars was appearing as a guest on Morning Live.

The 44-year-old presenter was back on our screens on Wednesday morning alongside co-host Sally Nugent.

Toward the end of the show, they chatted to Morning Live hosts Gethin Jones and Kimberley Walsh to find out what viewers can expect from the latest programme.

Host Dan said: “Morning Live follows us on BBC One this morning. They’re on at 9.15.

“Gethin and Kimberley are in the chairs today.”

However, the father of three couldn’t want to chat to their guest Graziano Di Prima, who is best known for appearing on Strictly.

Dan joked: “I don’t want to be rude, and I know you usually tell us whats going on, but can you just show us Graziano early on. I miss him already.”

A giggling Gethin replied: “Course we can. Graziano is looking 10 out of 10.”

The Welsh presenter went on to explain what was coming up on the show before adding: “To keep Dan, Sally and everyone else happy we’re kicking off with the king of the ballroom, Graziano, who is going to be working on the abs today.”

“Get ready because it’s going to be perfect,” the Italian dancer added.

Dan competed in the 2021 series of Strictly Come Dancing with partner Nadiya Bychkova.

They came in fifth place and narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-final.

He recently paid a touching tribute to Oti Mabuse following the news that she’s quit the BBC dancing show after seven years.

The official Strictly Come Dancing Twitter account confirmed Oti’s departure alongside picture of Oti holding up the Glitterball Trophy with her two partners.

She won the competition in 2019 with Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and again the following year in 2020 with comedian Bill Bailey.

The post read: “Oti has been a truly wonderful part of Strictly for the past seven years.
