Along with their friends, Demi paved the way for a generation of kids during the late noughties and early 2010s, but since then a taste for the otherworldly has dominated their life.
Take a look at Demi’s unusual hobby and how they communicate with beings outside of this universe.
Unidentified with Demi Lovato
Demi decided to turn their passion into entertainment back in 2021 when they released their Peacock original series.
Along with their sister Dallas and pal Matthew, Demi embarked on a journey to “uncover the truth about the UFO phenomena”.
The four part series was launched and received mixed reviews.
IMDB only awarded the short-lived season with 1.9 stars out of 10, with one viewer even branding the show as “at best cringe, at worst boring”.
Throughout the series, Demi – who uses they/them and she/her pronouns –attempted to speak to aliens and communicate with them, learning about them, their hopes and desires.
At one point, Demi even sang their hit song Skyscraper to an extraterrestrial called Carmen in an attempt to allow their friends back in the room.
Using a specialist device, the alien communicated via beeps and urged Demi to sing for them.
However, many viewers were unimpressed with the loose attempt and debated whether the signal noises were genuine.
The Kelly Clarkson Show
Demi appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to discuss their show and Kelly questioned the singer on whether they had “ever seen” an extraterrestrial.
Demi confessed that they had “never seen one face to face” but did reveal a story about something strange she experienced.
“I have seen a lot of weird things in the sky that cannot be explained, and even on the ground,” she said.
When asked about their experience with hypnotherapy, Demi responded: “I had a night where I was dreaming – I say dreaming very loosely because I don’t really know what happened – but all of a sudden, I was in my room […] and there were three beings.”
Demi continued: “They were like: ‘Do you want to see your planet?’ I was like: ‘Hell yeah, let’s go!’ I ‘whooshed’ out of my room and was hovering over the planet […] They were like: ‘Do you wanna see our planet?’ I was like: ‘Hell yeah!’ Then I whooshed to this pink and purple planet that I’ve never seen [before].”
Lovato said they “didn’t want to use the word abduction” because it was a consensual experience, so instead called it an “astral projection” because they “went somewhere else”.
Encounters
During a trip to Joshua Tree in California, Demi claims that they “saw a blue orb about 50 feet away”.
The 29-year-old told E! News’ Daily Pop: “It was kind of floating above the ground, just 10 or 15 feet, and it was keeping its distance from me. It was a beautiful and incredible experience.”
The Cool For The Summer singer said that it “changed the way” they interpret the world as it “confirmed their inklings” and “changed their reality”.
Demi also claims to also have had a “profound experience” after their 28th birthday celebrations, during which they “made alien contact”.
Lovato insisted it was a “pretty mind blowing experience” which started the ball rolling for the Unidentified series.
Their belief in alien lifeforms runs so deep that Demi actually believes that “star people” live among us.
The former Disney channel star urges sceptics that aliens are “very caring, very intelligent beings” who are “just looking out for the best interest of our planet”.
