EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley looked dramatically different from her soap character when she revealed her new hair.
The English actress is known for playing Walford mum-of-six Karen Taylor on the iconic BBC One soap.
Fans have grown used to seeing Karen sporting her signature messy bun on Albert Square, where she’s never too far from a fresh dose of drama.

However, soap lovers might have to look twice these days as Lorraine has decided to ditch the bun for a completely different hairdo away from the screen.
Lorraine, 46, has opted for gorgeous new blonde locks worn in a straight, sleek and loose style hanging over her shoulders.
The star took to Instagram on Thursday (August 18) with a sweet selfie to show off her glamorous new look.
Lorraine looked to be happy with her new hair as she gave the camera a thumbs up while posing alongside hairdresser Amy Davidson.
She wrote in the caption: ‘I’m back!!’ followed by a grinning emoji and ‘Thankyou’, with @amydavidsonhair tagged.
According to a post on Amy’s Instagram page, the British soap opera star achieved this new look with a half head of highlights and a ‘chop’.
In another, she added that Lorraine’s gorgeous new blonde hair achieved using Schwarzkopf Professional products, as well as styled with the LullaBellz Click & Twist hair tool and ASP Hair Super Sleek Cream.
‘Another beautiful face for the grid,’ read Amy’s caption, ‘Back with one of my favourites today @lorraine_stanley_’ One user commented below ‘I’m so jealous! I love her’ along with two pink hearts and an ‘x’.
Lorraine has played the role of Karen Taylor since 2017, first appearing on Albert Square in a June 15 episode along with four of her children, Keanu, Bernadette, Riley and Chatham.
The hard-working mum is also the parent of Chantelle and Keegan, as well as grandmother of Mackenzie, Mia, Belle, Peggy and Albie.
Her Karen Taylor role hasseen her win or been shortlisted for several awards, including the British Soap Award for Best Newcomer (2018) and Inside Soap Award for Funniest Female (2019).
Lorraine is also an ambassador for the Domestic Abuse Alliance, Childhood Tumour Trust and Aberfeldy Boxing Club.
