EastEnders spoilers: Mick and Rainie affair twist teased after shock collapse horror

Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) becomes suspicious over his wife Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) and his old pal Mick Cater’s (Danny Dyer) friendship in upcoming EastEnders scenes.

At The Vic, Mich Baker and Tom Cotton suggest Mick gets back into the dating world after Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) failed to return home during the festive holidays.

Mick is unaware that scheming Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) texted Linda off his phone to tell her not attend his Broadway-themed New Year’s Eve party.

Rainie overhears the conversation and decides to follow Mick after realising he is no longer with Linda.

Mick later collapses after suffering a panic attack.

A concerned Rainie helps Mick recover from his panic attack and opens up to him about her pain of losing Abi.

Stuart watches on as his wife walks back into The Vic with Mick and becomes suspicious of the pair.

He has a lot on his mind at the moment after being diagnosed with male breast cancer.

Stuart went into panic mode at his hospital appointment when his doctor explained he’d need to have the lump on his chest surgically removed.

Though Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) tried to explain to Stuart that this was good news, he was unnerved at the thought of having hormone treatment after the surgery.

Back on the Square, Rainie was starting to get suspicious about why Sonia had brought Stuart home the night before and was now bringing him back once again.

When she confronted her husband with questions, the pamphlet Stuart received from his doctor about breast cancer fell out in full view for Rainie to see.

Rainie was stunned, but assumed that Stuart had been supporting Sonia because she’d been the one diagnosed with breast cancer.

Stuart instantly regretted his lie, but will he come clean to Rainie?

Speaking about his latest storyline, actor Ricky Champ said: “I feel honoured to be trusted with such an important storyline.

“We will see Stuart really struggle with the fact he has cancer, and to learn that it’s breast cancer is really difficult for him to understand.

“I hope by shedding a light on male breast cancer, more men will be aware of it and seek out a doctor if they notice anything wrong.”

Eastenders airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on BBC One
