Emmerdale has been hit with more Ofcom complaints as serial killer Meena Jutla continues to cause havoc in the village.
TV watchdog Ofcom , which handles complaints about radio and TV shows in Britain, received 76 complaints in relation to an episode of ITV soap which aired on February 15.
The broadcast regulator has confirmed that over 275 complaints have been made in relation to the ongoing storyline involving Meena.
Evil nurse Meena returned to the village last week to ruin Dawn Taylor and Billy Fletcher’s wedding day.
Dawn was taken by her love rival in a limo. The evil killer smiled as she taunted the bride and groom with her gun.
Billy was horrified when Meena told him about the little game where he had to save either himself or Dawn.
She threatened to kill them both if Billy didn’t make a decision.
Billy told Dawn he would always take a bullet for her and Meena pointed the gun and someone got shoot.
Back at the reception, Leyla (Roxy Shahidi) said goodbye to Will (Dean Andrews) and went looking for Billy and Dawn.
As Leyla approached the viaduct in her car, she spotted Meena holding the gun.
But while Dawn tried to warn Leyla of the danger, she wasn’t quick enough and Meena noticed the car.
She shot her gun several times, causing an injured Leyla to fall from the car.
It has been confirmed that Meena actress Paige Sandhu will be leaving the ITV soap soon.
She first set foot in the soap as Manpreet Sharma’s estranged sister in September 2020 and she’s been causing trouble ever since.
During her vicious on-screen killing spree, Meena has killed three members of the village.
The psychopath shoved Leanna Cavanagh over a bridge to her death, beat up Andrea Tate and left her to burn alive in a fire and murdered Ben Tucker.
Paige recently revealed on This Morning that it’s “the beginning of the end” for her character, but there’s plenty more action to come before that happens.
Paige said: “This is the beginning of the end for Meena but there’s more drama to come!”
Fans will have to wait and see how Meena will leave the village
Emmerdale airs weekdays on ITV at 7pm
