Escape to the Chateau fans blown away by jaw-dropping games room transformation

Escape to the Chateau fans were thrilled when they saw show stars Dick Strawbridge and Angel Adoree reveal their stunning new games room for their children to enjoy.

The dreamy Channel 4 property show returned with a bang on Sunday evening (December 4) as it saw the proud parents breathe new life into yet another part of their giant French chateau.

The couple have bought and renovated the 19th-century Château de la Motte-Husson in Martigné-sur-Mayenne, France.

When they first bought the 45-room Chateau, it was derelict and hadn’t been lived in for 40 years, but over the past nine series they’ve transformed it into an incredible fairytale home.

They’ve not only restored it to its former glory, they now host events such as weddings so other families can enjoy the fruits of their labour.

But even though it’s ninth and final series, Dick and Angel still had another surprise for viewers on Sunday when they ventured into the attic for their latest project.

They dug out a ton of old and dusty games, including an old train set, and decided to preserve them in the new games hub.

With their kids growing up so fast, Dick and Angel wanted to build a fun-filled hub for their son Arthur and daughter Dorothy to enjoy.

The impressive games room was lined with fairylights and boasted an air-hockey table, a newly-decorated model train set, footballs dangling from the ceiling.

It’s fair to say beaming Arthur and Dorothy were thrilled with their new toy palace, too, because they got stuck into the games straight away.

An excited Arthur cried out: “Oh my god!” as Dororothy declared the corner of the room was her favourite.

Fans loved it too as one took to Twitter and wrote: “What a fantastic episode of #EscapeToTheChateau, the old chateau toys brought back to life, The past meeting the present.”

A second said of Arthur and Dorothy: “Absolutely living their best lives!” with another replying” Their faces were a picture [smiling emoji].”

A fourth added: “Those old toys are quite affecting – imagining the joy and laughter from all those years ago!”
