Gemma Collins still has PTSD over her infamous cut in Celebrity Big Brother.
The former TOWIE star appeared in the 17th series of the celebrity version of the long running social experiment back in 2016 where she went onto go viral for all her iconic moments.
One moment saw her infamously cut her hand as she attempted to peel potatoes with a large knife as a favour for her fellow housemate Daniella Westbrook.

But in a new interview with BBC Radio London’s The Scene with Alice Dale, the former housemate reveals she has PTSD from the incident.
Reflecting on the viral moments to make it years later from the series and her overall time in the house on the extended feature, Behind The Scene, Gemma told the station: “I was Big Brother. I was the moment. I should have won it.”
The former Dancing On Ice star continued: “I think Scott won it, didn’t he, off Geordie Shore. Yeah, I think he won it that year. He was a lovely guy. So well deserved. But yeah, I just don’t think people were fully ready.”
Whan asked by co-host Josh Rom whether her infamous viral cut had fully healed, Gemma made a surprising revelation to the two radio hosts.
Gemma replied: “I mean, I’ve got PTSD from it whenever I go near a knife.”
But the reality star was full of praise for the production team behind Celebrity Big Brother as she was rushed to hospital following the nasty cut.
The former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! campmate continued: “But you know what, you’ve always got around a laugh. And they [the producers] were great. They got me straight to the hospital”
She added: “And I was like, Can I get KFC on the way back and they [the producers] were like, “No, Gemma.” I was like oh, All right then.”
Elsewhere in the interview Gemma admitted that her experience on shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Dancing on Ice has made her thick skinned.
Reflecting on her time in reality TV, Gemma told BBC host Alice Dale and Josh Rom: “I think what was tough was probably leaving the jungle, I took a lot of stick for that when I left the jungle. I had to follow my own soul and I had to follow what was right for me”
She continued: “I just got on to TV. I had just been selling cars, then done TOWIE, then I was asked to go the jungle and I just wasn’t ready for it. So yeah, that was probably a tough time the rest to be honest. I’m used to take in the stick but I’ve got broad shoulders”
Gemma added: “You just have to always like do the right thing. You know what’s right by you … I look back now and as you said, just resilience. I do have a lot of resilience.”
