Gordon Ramsay sells home for £7.5million in most expensive sale in Cornwall

Future Food Stars host Gordon Ramsay has sold one of his Cornwall homes for a whopping £7.5million, making it the most expensive sale ever recorded in the county.

The multi-Michelin starred chef, 55, owned three Cornwall properties at one point, but is now down to just the one.

Daymer Bay House, located in Trebetherick, was first bought by the father-of-six in 2016 for £4m.

At the time he was already in the middle of a planning battle to bulldoze another Cornish property in Rock, a village in the north of the county.

He had bought the 1920s five-bedroom property for £4.4m in 2015.

The family appeared on This Morning from the property last year.

In July 2016, Ramsay won an eight-month battle to bulldoze the home.

The Hell’s Kitchen star built two adjacent homes in Rock on the site – one of which is now the Ramsay family’s Cornwall home.

The news of the Ramsay’s property sale comes after MasterChef viewers slammed his recent appearance on the show.

Last night (May 4) saw the four semi-finalists face a single cooking task to earn a place in the final three.

The three who then made it through – 30-year-old marine pilot Eddie, 45-year-old beauty salon owner Pookie and 23-year-old law graduate Radha – then headed to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London to cook for Gordon and colleagues.

Gordon said Rahda should be “fearless” because she was the youngest in the competition.

He also told the contestants to speed up at points, with Eddie struggling with time as he prepared the chicken breast.

“I don’t want to get shouted at by Gordon,” Eddie joked at one point.

Gordon’s approach quickly drew criticism from fans of the show.

“Gordon Ramsay is incredibly talented. However, he sometimes has a really unfortunate manner,” said one Twitter user.

Another agreed, writing: “Can’t Gordon Ramsay even slightly modify his stress-inducing behaviour. He only has one way of doing things and it isn’t helping them.”
