Sofia is originally from Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia and has worked in Australian theatre.

The actress has also worked on films and in television in both Australia and Ireland, with her most notable roles being in Drop Dead Weird, Kiki and Kitty, Preppers, RFDS and now, of course, Home and Away.

She also had a role in Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla vs Kong, in which she played a “mean girl”.

The action movie, which was released in 2021, saw Sofia star alongside big name actors such as Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall and Kaylee Hottle as well as the film’s director Adam Wingard.

Landing The Part

Sofia spoke to Tracy Mac on Newcastle in the Morning about her experience landing the big time soap role.

An eager Nolan opened up on her experience on set and admitted that she didn’t have much prior knowledge of the soap but called it a “bucket list” casting for any Australian actor.

Sofia said: “So I got the audition through my agency […] and I actually didn’t really know much about the character, I didn’t know much about her storyline […] I just hoped for the best. Lo and behold, two weeks later, we got a ‘yes’!”

Nolan admitted that she has already “wrapped her filming for now,” but teased fans by vaguely responding with “who knows” when confronted with the possibility of a “recurring character,” of which she could “neither confirm nor deny”.

The actress went on to say that the filming was “initially for three months,” but the team ended up “being there for almost four” as there were “so many Covid interruptions” that disrupted filming.

When asked whether Sofia is planning on making the move to Hollywood, she admitted to “still feeling like a fish out of water” and confirmed that she “doesn’t know about Hollywood just yet”.

Blonde Beauty

The star loves to post on Instagram

The Australian actress loves to keep her fans up to date on her life and regularly posts pictures on her Instagram profiles.

Nolan cannot be blamed for sharing pictures of herself online as the blonde beauty is an absolute stunner.

Anyone that has seen her on stage or screen will no doubt have been in awe of her beauty and one such picture sums her up perfectly.

Sofia looked in complete bliss as she stood in the middle of a sprawling field surrounded by flowers and trees.

She has a distinct girl-next-door quality and a kind smile that could light up any room.
