Kanye West storms out of podcast interview as host challenges anti-Semitic comments

Kanye West stormed out of a podcast interview after the host pushed back against the rapper’s anti-Semitic comments.

On Monday (November 29), the Donda artist, 45, appeared live on the Timcast IRL podcast alongside white supremacist Nick Fuentes and alt-right political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos.

Describing himself as “more Martin Luther King than Malcolm X” and referring to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian as his “baby mama”, Ye saw red after podcast host Tim Pool challenged his generalisation that the Jewish community was responsible for his downfall.

Taking off his headset, Kanye then stormed out of the studio.

In wake of his exit, Tim said: “Are you leaving? He’s gone.

“I can’t say I’m surprised.

“What do I even do other than ask him, please elaborate on this: Are you referring to individuals or are you quite literally blaming an entire group of people for the fact that powerful individuals are causing you harm?”

Kanye failed to return to the studio and complete the interview.

Moments before leaving the set, the Stronger hitmaker hinted he would depart the interview after comparing it to “a set up.”

The heated star said: “To come in here – I feel like it’s a set up to be like defending … I’m literally going to walk the eff off the show If I’m sitting up here having to, you know, talk about, ‘You can’t say it was Jewish people that did it.”

Kanye’s podcast walkout follows him previously storming off his interview special on Piers Morgan: Uncensored – though he later returned and completed the interview.

The dad-of-four was temporarily suspended from Twitter and Instagram last month after publishing a string of derogatory comments about the Jewish community on social media.

His Twitter ban has since been lifted. However, companies including banking firm JP Morgan, fashion house Balenciaga and Adidas have since cut ties with the star.

Kanye’s tweets included comments such as “going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE [sic]”.

During his appearance on Piers Morgan: Uncensored, Kanye offered an apology for his “death con” remarks.

He said: “You know, I will say, I’m sorry for the people that I hurt with the ‘death con’.

“I feel like I caused hurt and confusion, and I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through, and that I used my platform where you say ‘hurt people hurt people’ – and I was hurt.”
