Katie Piper's acid attacker flees country as police warn people not to approach him

Loose Women star Katie Piper’s acid attacker Stefan Sylvestre is wanted by police after trying to flee the country.

The Police were notified on Friday, 23 September, that Stefan, 34, had been recalled to prison.

His last known address was in north London.

Officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have revealed continue to work with partner agencies to locate and arrest him.

Police have also warned the members of the public to not approach him.

The police have also asked anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to please call the police on 999 quoting CAD6239/23Sep.

Stefan, from west London, was given a life sentence in 2009 for the attack on the TV presenter.

He was told he must serve a minimum of six years in prison before he would be eligible for parole.

He was given parole in 2020 which was 11 years after committing the horrifying assault.

However, he could now face more jail time after.

This is due to him going missing while on licence.

Katie was left with extensive and life-changing injuries after sulphuric acid was thrown in her face aged 24-years-old.

A Probation Service spokesman has since told The Mirror that they are working closely with police to imprison the convict once again.

They told the publication: “We are urgently working with the police to bring the offender back to prison where he’ll face longer behind bars.”

In 2008, Stefan attacked Katie in Golders Green, North London, after following the orders of her obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch.

Stefan was 19-years-old at the time of the assault and was sentenced to life one year later.

The Loose Women panellist has since shot to fame and was awarded an OBE for charity and burns services.

Her ex was also put in prison and sentenced to a minimum of 16 years.

He, however, cannot be considered for release until 2025.
