Katie Price reveals her 'safe place' after attending therapy after car-crash

Katie Price has shared her surprising ‘safe place’ after attending therapy over her dramatic car-crash.

The 43-year-old OnlyFans star flipped her uninsured BMW X5 in the solo crash last September.

The incident saw filming for her Channel 4 documentary series Mucky Mansion temporarily halted as Katie completed a rehab stint in The Priory.

Filming resumed shortly afterwards and in the latest episode, Katie explained the skills she picked up while in the facility, including the discovering of her own “safe place” – which she revealed to be “kissing a horse”.

Katie said: “I just love horses so as I say, since I was young it kept me off the streets; kept me away from boys. It was always horse stuff. I would spend every spare minute I’ve got with horses. That was it.

“I spent hours grooming them, cutting up their carrots, making their beds all nice… I just loved it and I still love it.”

She added: “When I was in The Priory, my safe place – they get in your head to find a safe place where if you’ve had trauma and stuff and you go through therapy and they make you go through the trauma that you’ve had… there’s always a safe place and they found my safe place and it was me [kissing] a horse.

“That, they said, was my safe place and I still do it now. I love it.”

Last month, Katie received a 16-week suspended sentence and two-year driving ban in regards to the accident.

Speaking about her former dark headspace on Mucky Mansion, Katie confided how she lost interest in caring for her horses as she struggled with the symptoms of her depression.

She added: “When you are in a depression, you can’t be bothered to do anything.

“I couldn’t be bothered to walk to the stable and even pat the horses.

Katie also revealed that depression symptoms left her previously uninterested in caring for the horses

“I would look out my kitchen window and be like ‘should I just go down, and think I can’t be bothered and just curl up on the sofa and want to sleep. That’s how bad I was.”

Katie recently joined the racy subscriber-only website OnlyFans.

Last week, she was also pictured attending a London-based fertility clinic with her fiancé, Carl Woods.

Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion airs on Channel 4 and is available to stream on All4.
