Katie Price says she's 'forever proud' of son Harvey as he lands exciting new job

Katie Price has said that she is “forever proud” of her son Harvey – after she shared his new role as a Myth Buster ambassador for Mencap.

The mum-of-five took gushed over her son as she revealed his new position at Mencap – which is an organisation dedicated to championing those with learning disabilities.

Katie took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of nineteen-year-old Harvey, who could be seen donning one of his clothing company’s stylish white t-shirts.

The former glamour model spoke about Harvey’s new role, and their campaign which aims to “show the world that living life with a learning disability means we can do lots of things.”

Katie wrote: “Listen. Ask. Learn. Harvey is happy to be a MythBuster for Mencap! We are a group of people who want to show the world that living life with a learning disability means we can do lots of things… We want to bust myths and campaign for more representation of people like us in society. People like Harvey can go to college and live independently – I love it!

Sharing a proud moment with her son, she added: Forever proud of you @officialmrharveyprice”

Fans of Katie and Harvey were excited over the news, and many rushed to post supportive comments about their mother-son relationship.

One wrote: “Amazing Harvey, well done!!”

A second said: “I love Harvey!!! And I love what a good loving mummy you are to him!”

A third agreed: “Congratulations Harvey we’re pleased for you”

A fourth penned: “wow. How fabulous for your gorgeous boy”

A fifth added: “He’s absolutely wonderful! Go Harvey”

Harvey suffers from a number of conditions including autism, Prader-Willi syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia.

Harvey is joined by 17 other Myth Buster ambassadors at Mencap – including CBeebies presenter George Webster and Line of Duty actor Tommy Jessop.

The group aim to tackle a number of misconceptions about people with disabilities.

George said: “One myth is that people with Down’s syndrome are always happy, but that’s not really the truth, is it?”

Aisha Edwards, an usher who works at The Young Vic theatre in London, said her teachers thought she wouldn’t get a job.

She said: “My teachers said that I wouldn’t get a job,”, adding: “I did prove them wrong.”
