Les Dawson’s legacy is set to live on in his daughter Charlotte because she wants to become a comic just like him.
It has been more than 30 years since fans last saw the comedy legend perform on stage.
But now Charlotte, 29, wants to emulate his success and give stand-up a go herself.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’d love to be a comedian. I’ve always wanted to do stand-up. That might be my next project. I know I would love it”
Charlotte reckons her style of comedy would be just like her dad’s.
That means plenty of cheeky humour and she’ll even attempt to imitate his iconic gurn.
Charlotte hopes it would be the perfect way to pay tribute to Les, who died in 1993.
She added: “I love having a laugh with people and telling them my stories. I love blabbering on, so I would love to do comedy.
“I would feel so close to my dad, too. And I could show people that you can still look good and still be funny.”
Charlotte is determined to honour her dad’s legacy despite becoming a target for internet trolls.
Since she started doing reality shows years ago, people have sent her cruel taunts.
She said: “I’ve had people saying my dad would be ashamed of me. Some of the comments have been really nasty.
“People are so weird. They need to get a life. It does upset you, but you have to grow a thicker skin.
“There are always going to be bad comments. It’s about the way you handle it. I always handle backlash quite well. If my dad was here, he’d say ‘piss off’!” ends
Charlotte has appeared on Ex on the Beach, Celebs Go Dating and Celebs On The Farm.
She welcomed her first child with rugby ace boyfriend Matt Sarsfield last year, a son named Noah.
