Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan, 56, was set to address rumours of a feud brewing between the ITV panellists on air, though the ladies failed to spark the discussion.
However, shortly after the show aired she explained why the topic hadn’t been brought up following a series of tweets complaining about it.
Writing to her 265,000 followers, she said: “I’m so sorry we couldn’t say what we planned to today but my lawyer advised me to go through the legal process.
“But rest assured you will hear the outcome of this and I will share it when I can. Thank you all for your support as ever, Love Coleen x.”
Coleen pinned the tweet at the top of her profile so fans could be fully aware as to why the conversation topic was avoided on Monday morning’s show.
On Sunday Coleen stated that the Loose Women ladies would be addressing claims of a “feud” between the panellists on the show.
One fan also questioned whether it was legitimate, tweeting: “Why can’t this all be confirmed live in front of the nation? Whether it’s true or not.”
Which prompted Coleen to respond: “It will be discussed today on Loose Women. 12.30pm on ITV.”
Although the ladies were unable to discuss the claims on the show, which both Coleen and ITV have denied, when she appeared on Monday morning’s show they certainly put up a united front.
Coleen and Carol were in good spirits as they both appeared on the panel and discussed various topical segments.
While fans were left unimpressed during the TV appearance, Coleen cleared it all up for her followers.
It comes after rumours claimed that Loose Women stars refused to work with the long-standing presenter.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Nadia Sawalha, 57, Carol McGiffin, 61, and Stacey Solomon, 32, had all had falling-outs with Coleen and were not willing to appear alongside her on the panel.
The claims were denied and multiple Loose Women stars have since stars got behind Coleen to share their support.
Saira, who quit the show just last year, wrote in an Instagram post that Coleen is “not the problem” and hit out at some unnamed people on the show as she wrote: “There are a lot of smiling crocodiles on the show that fool the public for their own gain.”
Coleen has promised her fans that they will be informed when she is in a position to comment any further.
