Loose Women's Ruth Langsford dazzles as she unveils glamorous new hair makeover

Ruth Langsford dazzled her Instagram followers as she unveiled a glamorous new hairdo.

The Loose Women regular took her fans on her trip to the salon as she documented her time in the stylist’s chair.

Sharing a picture of herself with her stylist tending to her blonde locks, she wrote: “The master at work!”

She could be seen having foils applied to her hair as she went for a lighter shade of blonde.

The 61-year-old joked that it was “cooking” time as she shared another snap of her head under the heater, with the Alicia Keys song Girl On Fire playing over the top.

Proving she’s the ultimate tease, Ruth then shared a clip of herself with a towel wrapped around her head, hiding the new look.

“Cooked and ready to dry,” she wrote, as she posed in a mirror in front of a wall decorated with an abundance of colourful tiles.

And then it was time for the big reveal, as another stylist got to work spraying her blow dried look, locking in the voluminous waves that framed her face.

Recently, Ruth’s former This Morning co-star Holly Willoughby confessed she had a rather grim secret involving the presenter.

Speaking on Alison Hammond’s podcast By The Light Of The Moon, Holly admitted she’d once used Ruth’s toothbrush.

Recalling a backstage moment at the This Morning dressing rooms, Holly said: “There was a time I had to text Ruth once, I went ‘I’m so sorry I’ve just used your toothbrush.'”

She added: “I was desperate. I replaced it.”

Alison said: “Was you desperate babes?

“You can use my toothbrush any time, jet let me know.”

A grateful Holly replied: “Thanks, same, same.”

Meanwhile, Ruth recently opened up about being a step-mother to husband Eamonn Holmes’ older children.

Speaking on Loose Women, she said: “I have to say, I was very, very nervous about meeting Eamonn’s children, I didn’t meet them for quite a while, they were about 5, 6 and 8, something like that, they were young.

“I do remember thinking, he’s such a devoted father, I do remember thinking, ‘if they don’t like me, this is doomed’. Quite understandably, they are his number one priority, so I was very nervous.

“But Eamonn was great, he said to me, ‘just be yourself and let them come to you, they are very different personalities’. He told me which would would come first, and second and they all absolutely did.

“He said, ‘just don’t interview them’. Sometimes with children, I can be like, ‘what are your favourite sports?'”

She added: “I was just kind of around and eventually they did come. We are all very, very close.

“Also over the years, I have been very mindful of their mother, not ever tried to take that role at all, I was more just a friend, daddy’s girlfriend and now wife.”
