Love Island’s Liam Llewellyn has revealed his “most nerve wracking” fear about entering the villa, as the new series gets underway next week (June 6, 2022).
The hit ITV2 dating show is back with a bang for its eighth season, which means a fresh batch of singletons are set to enter the villa on a hunt for love – including hunky welsh student Liam.
Speaking to Daily Star and other press ahead of entering the villa, Liam revealed that although he is “excited to enter the villa”, there is one thing he is most nervous about – “the feeling of not being wanted”.
He said: “Not being picked. It’s human to want to be wanted, to want to be picked in anything that you do.
“The feeling of not being picked, maybe, is definitely a nerve wracking thought for me.”
Despite this, Liam added: “I’m definitely excited to go into the villa – who wouldn’t be? 22 years old. Young lad, can’t wait to get in there.

“In terms of winning, I’m not really thinking about that right now.
“I just want to go in there, enjoy my time and whatever comes comes. My main priority is just going in there and enjoying it.
“I’m most excited about getting in there and just meeting everyone. Seeing what happens. I just can’t wait.”
However, the post-graduate student revealed that he does not know how his ex will react to seeing him in the villa as the new series gets underway, after the couple recently came out of a long term relationship.
Liam revealed: “I finished with my last girlfriend in late October/early November last year, so just short of three years.
“It’s been a fair bit now. I’ve been single for over eight or nine months, so it’s not going to be too harsh or too fresh.
“I’m not sure how she is going to react.”
He also joked that he has prepared his supportive parents for what lies ahead on Love Island – especially any steamy moments in the hideaway after coupling up.
“My mum will probably have the pillows over her eyes, but she knows what the show is all about. She’s fully prepped.”
Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub
