Perrie Edwards and baby son at home as burglars break into luxury Cheshire house

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards and her fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were allegedly targeted by burglars in their £3.5m home whilst they were home with their one-year-old son.

It is understood thugs smashed into their lavish home while the happy couple – who share baby Axel – were still downstairs oblivious to the attack.

The criminals are thought to have cleared out a slew of expensive items including priceless jewellery and designer handbags.

Sources have since told The Sun that the horrific raid has left the duo “terrified” for their safety and are thought to be “heartbroken” over the loss of their stolen valuables.

It has since been reported that detectives are combing through CCTB footage taken during the incident in search for clues and any noticeable markers hinting at the thieves identities.

A close friend to the couple told the news outlet: “It’s just the most violating thing – to think that someone has been all over their belongings before they ever realised what was happening is so upsetting.

“The brazenness of doing it while they were in the house is terrifying, and obviously they’re heartbroken that a lot of valuable items which meant a great deal to them – not just financially – have been taken.

“This is their dream home and they love their life there as a family. Suddenly it feels tarnished, but they’re determined to get on with their lives.

“Obviously they’ll take every necessary step to ensure they are totally secure in the future.”

Cheshire Police have since confirmed officers were called about the burglary at 10.45pm on Tuesday (September 27).

A spokesperson for the police force revealed: “The offenders have broken into the home stealing jewellery and handbags while the occupants were inside”.

Amongst their famous neighbours are ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, 80, United defender Raphael Varane, 29, and Manchester City goalie Ederson, 29.

It is thought that doting parents Alex and Perrie bought the lavish home in cash back in August 2020.

Daily Star has reached out to Perrie and Alex’s representatives for a comment.
