Rachel Riley has returned to Countdown and viewers could not be happier.
The maths whizz has had some time off from the Channel 4 show after she and Strictly star Pasha Kovalev welcomed baby girl Noa in November.
But she returned to the studio on Tuesday and introduced baby Noa to host Anne Robinson.
“She’s heard the Countdown theme tune rather a few times in the womb so she should be used to it by now!” Rachel joked.
Fans thought Noa was absolutely adorable and loved getting a peek at her – but they were even happier to see Rachel back in position.
“Lovely to see Rachel back!” one person wrote on Twitter. “She really injects a bit of pace into the proceedings.”
“Great to have you back,” said another.
One tweeted: “Welcome back, Rachel. Good to see you today and to see your adorable baby.”
“We missed you!” gushed another.
“Can’t say how delighted I am to see you back on @C4Countdown,” said one fan, adding: “It wasn’t such fun without you! What a lovely family you have, good to see Pasha again, we still miss him on SCD!”
Another tweeted: “World order is restored. Our Rachel Riley is back!!”
Rachel, who also shares two-year-old daughter Maven with hubby Pasha, has been away from the show for a few months and Anne-Marie Imafidon has been filling in for her.
Baby Noa was born on Bonfire Night last year.
At the time, the TV star revealed that little Noa was a ‘rainbow baby’, which means a baby born following a miscarriage.
Rachel announced the lovely news on Instagram, writing: “Introducing Pasha’s newest dance partner – baby Noa was finally born, 15 days after her due date, late on Friday night to the sound of fireworks!
“She’s totally adorable and her big sister Maven has already tried welcoming her to the world by offering Oatly and pickles, we think that’s a good sign.”
Countdown airs weekdays on Channel 4
