Rebekah Vardy has candidly opened up about how the Wagatha Christie court case affected her kids’ everyday lives.
The mother-of-five, who was pregnant during the trial, claimed they had been driven to school with black bin bags over the windows so paparazzi could not take photos of them.
Rebekah spoke to TalkTV’s Kate McCann in a tell-all interview to give her side of the story a week after losing a £3million libel battle against Coleen Rooney.

She emotionally told Kate: “The kids at the beginning were having to be driven to school in cars with bin liners against the windows because of the press intrusion here. It just went crazy.
“I was just a normal mum and now I was being a mum that was being called all sorts of things in the press and on social media and it’s horrible because for me at that time I didn’t want to do anything.
A tearful Rebekah added: “I didn’t want to leave the house because I just wanted normality to resume and I felt for the kids, I felt for the ones that were innocent in this.
“[I] felt for the ones that were being subjected the things that I couldn’t control.”
The mum-of-five added that she had told her 17-year-old daughter not to read stories about her.
She revealed telling her daughter: “[I said] You know, in life, some people like you and some people don’t.
“You just have to focus on the people that love you, the people that care about you and ultimately the people that know the truth.”
Rebekah shared that she also stopped taking her children to football matches as fans would chant horrible things about her.
The WAG took Wayne Rooney’s wife to court in May over the 2019 Instagram post where Coleen accused her Instagram account of leaking stories about her personal life to the press.
In a lengthy post, Coleen discussed the stories she claims were sold to The Sun newspaper, including many of her private posts and stories.
In the highly publicised trial, Rebekkah went on to admit that she ended up taking medication to deal with the amount of stress during the trial.
“I think I’m probably suffering with PTSD,” she told The Sun.
