Singer Matt Goss sets sights on Prime Minister job as he confesses to 'politics passion'

Matt Goss, lead singer of 80s boy band Bros, has said that he wants to be the UK’s Prime Minister by the year 2029.

Despite the fact that he now resides in America, the singer has set his sights on running the country within the next decade.

The When Will I Be Famous? star has promised to stand up for the working-class people of the country and recently gave his thoughts on the notion.

The 53-year-old said: “I’d like to be Prime Minister so I could have frank conversations about the proletariat.”

“We are not robots, we are living, breathing human beings with feelings that need to be a little more considered,” he vouched.

Matt, who was in the band during the 1980s with his brother Luke, did not say which party he would be part of but vowed that he is “passionate about politics”.

The 80s heart-throb now makes a living singing in Las Vegas but he said that growing up in south-east London with barely any money was the time of his life.

He reminisced on his childhood in the capital city: “I was happiest at 37 Crawford Road in Camberwell, London. My mother had separated from my father and we had nothing, but I remember roast potatoes, twopence in the gas metre and the music.”

Goss admitted that it was the “only time in his life when he felt at home”.

Matt, who performed with his twin in the band Bros, recently revealed that he keeps a gun close by when he sleeps.

The singer also spends his time honing his shooting skills on the firing range and proclaimed that he is a “good shot” and a “good shooter”.

“It’s terrifying, absolutely terrifying what that thing can do,” Matt stated.

Matt began his solo career in 1995 and released 23 singles, four of which reached the top 40.
