Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice had one of the strongest partnerships ever seen on Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple were partnered together during last year’s series and went on to win the competition after performing various epic dances, including one to Clean Bandit’s Symphony, which won them a BAFTA earlier this year.
The gorgeous pair will remain forever connected by their memories from BBC series.

Rose, who is known for playing Frankie Lewis in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, also made history as the first deaf contestant to appear on the competition.
The unlikely duo had an incredible spark from the off, which was reflected in their faultless and moving performances.
But rather than waltz off into the sunset on very separate paths, the two have stayed close.

Love confession

Giovanni Pernice made his feelings for Rose very clear after the pair performed their Couple’s Choice dance on Strictly Come Dancing and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
The emotional routine featured a “silent moment” in reference to Rose being deaf, and it certainly touched the judges and those watching at home.
As the dance came to an end, the EastEnders actress embraced her professional partner as he told her: “I love you.”

Their chemistry didn’t go unnoticed by viewers tuning in at home, and one even claimed that the Italian dancer is “smitten”.
“Sorry but Rose and Giovanni need to get married, it’s a must #Strictly,” one person tweeted.
Another posted: “#Strictly @bbcstrictly btw if Giovanni is not in love with her I will eat my hat! He could not stop kissing her head and looking so lovingly at her. I loved tonight’s show.”
A third person added: “The way Gio looks at Rose. That man is smitten #Strictly.”
Giovanni’s public display of affection came weeks after his split from former Love Island star Maura Higgins.

Often updating fans on her private life on Instagram, Rose revealed to followers that “music and painting during my downtime is therapeutic to me”.
Offering up an opportunity to share their favourite things with her, she encouraged them to reveal their favourite downtime activity, and her former Strictly co-star, Giovanni Pernice, sweetly revealed his.
“Teaching Rose,” he confessed, to which a delighted Rose quickly replied: “Aww @giovaniipernice. Learning a new dance and getting it right was the best feeling ever.”

It’s clear Gio is a fabulous teacher as Rose gushed over him following their legendary silent dance, saying: “I feel very, very thankful for your determination to make this dance the most positive, happy dance it can be because you know that being deaf, there’s nothing wrong, it’s such a joy to be deaf and I think that says a lot about you as a person.”

Not long after being crowned the winners, a giddy Giovanni immortalised his time with Rose with a tattoo to commemorate the 2021 series.
The professional dancer has a Glitterball trophy inked on his arm alongside the date of his and Rose’s incredible win.
Giovanni made no secret of his desire to finally win the show, and previously thanked Rose for “making all his dreams come true” when they lifted the Glitterball trophy together in December.

“You became the best dancer, the best teammate. You are a dream Rose, thank you for everything,” he told her.
As well as his inking, Giovanni also revealed that he has a has a photo of him and Rose dancing in his home.
Soap star Rose has also made no secret of her fondness for Giovanni.
In a tribute post on Instagram she told him: “@giovannipernice, I am so grateful that you were part of my strictly journey. Thank you for telling my story and showing everyone who I am.
“Our friendship is so special and lasting for sure,” she vowed.
