BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing professional Karen Hauer has married John Wyn-Jones and has spoken about the ‘amazing’ moment she shared with family and friends after being unable to see them for two years.
Karen was joined by her fellow Strictly co-stars Janette Manrara and Luba Mushtuk for the ceremony.
She spoke to Hello! about the celebration and recalled the special day.
The star, who joined the show in 2012, said: “”It feels like a fairytale day, it felt so special to bring our families and friends together. I haven’t seen my family for the last two years, so it’s really touching to bring them here and be able to share this amazing moment with them.”
Karen shared her wedding prep on Instagram and kept her fans up to date with the proceedings.
The dancer showed them that she was having a pedicure and a foot soak, complete with a mug of coffee to keep her going through the big day.
The couple only recently went Instagram official last year after she posted a picture with him.
Their first public appearance together was at a showing of Him & Me in July 2021 and Karen has been sharing snaps of the pair ever since.
The 40-year-old star married her new husband in Chewton Glen in Hampshire.
She has previously been married twice, to former dance partner Matthew Hauer and then to fellow Strictly professional Kevin Clifton from 2015 to 2018, who is now with documentarian Stacey Dooley.
Their union comes after the Strictly Come Dancing cast embarked on the annual Strictly Professionals tour, which travels up and down the country and performs to thousands of keen fans.
The tour, which is directed by the show’s creative director Jason Gilkison, featured ten of the show’s professional dancers.
Karen recently shared a health update with fans after physiotherapy.
She uploaded three pictures of herself on a treatment bed and wrote: “”Yesterday’s day off equals physio. Our one day off during the week consists of trying to get as much aid to our aching muscles to get us all through our final week of shows. Dancing is no joke. Not a fairy tale. It hurts.”
