The Chase was plunged into chaos when the team failed to have any contestants remaining to qualify for the final round.
Hopeful winners Kathy, Abdullah, Elizabeth and Kwame all found themselves stumped when they went up against The Chaser Mark Labbett meaning by the final round there was no money in the bank and no contestants remaining.
Stunned viewers couldn’t believe their eyes as they compared the flailing team to exiting Prime Minister Liz Truss – but better despite their failure.

Despite the huge fail host Bradley Walsh still gave the inept group a chance at taking home some form of cash prize.
The contestants then nominated Kathy to represent them as they got a second chance to win £4000 giving them £1000 each if she could beat the Chaser.
However, the opportunity didn’t go to plan for the team as they once again failed to perform against The Chaser and found themselves going home empty-handed leaving Mark delighted at his success.
Disconcerted viewers were not impressed by the performance, admitting they could see similarities between their failure and exiting Prime Minister Liz Truss who quit her job today after a chaotic six-week tenure.
In fact, most even said that the players were still a stronger-looking team than Liz and her cabinet who have delivered a dismal failure over the last 44 days.
One wrote: “At least #thechase is going ahead today. Liz Truss has been caught, and for her, The Chase is over.”
Another added: “Between Liz Truss and the 4 contestants, nobody is lasting too long today.”
A third quipped: “Today’s #theChase going about as well as Truss’s tenure as PM.”
A fourth stunned viewer tweeted: “I lasted longer on the toilet then them 4 contestants and Liz Truss put together.”
A fifth said: “What did such just do?? She’s had a worse day than Liz Truss!”
Another agreed: “Only thing worse than these four on #theChase is Liz Truss. Thankfully they’re all headed home today.”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Player.
