Hollywood film icons and Goonies Fratelli brothers stars Robert Davi and Joe Pantoliano looked incredible as they made an appearance in the UK – over 37 years since the original eighties classic The Goonies was released.
Robert and Joe, who played villains Jake and Francis Fratelli in the 1985 film, met generations of fans during a recent appearance at Comic Con Liverpool.
The Matrix star Joe and James Bond License To Kill icon Robert, then took to the stage on the Sunday for a special Q&A panel about The Goonies, where they answered questions from the audience – and revealed that they would be open to making a sequel.

Speaking as part of the panel, the famous duo confirmed that they would be open to a Goonies sequel – and teased a potential idea for the film, with Jake Fratelli actor Robert saying: “I would do a Goonies two.”
Meanwhile, Francis Fratelli actor Joe added: “Absolutely. At my age, I’m just happy to wake up.”
There has been no confirmation of a Goonies sequel in the works, but Robert explained that if a follow up was to be made, he has an idea for the opening.
Sharing his idea for the opening of a potential second Goonies film, Robert explained it would pay homage to the original and also link back to the brother’s relationship with Mama.
“My opening for The Goonies 2 is that Mama Fratelli has gone – she’s passed. We’re in prison…” said Robert.
He continued: “Mama has passed, so what we do is, there was something she said before she died. She said, ‘Heel. The secret’s in the heel.’ Us being in prison for how many years, we’ve both been racking our brains. What heel? The heel of her shoe.
“So we go to Pottersfield where she’s buried and exhume her body, to find a clue to whatever treasure could be found.
“That sets us on this other journey, that’s in the house of somewhere.
“That was a little fantasy idea I said would be interesting, as we have to relate to Mama. To open it to something similar, it would be the two of us. Two o’ clock in the morning, arguing over Mama.”
However, Joe asked: “But where are The Goonies?” to which Robert replied: “We go into that.”
Joe then jokingly shouted: “The movie is Goonies 2!”
Robert added: “I said the opening! Then we go into it.”
It seems the two actors are just like siblings both on and off screen, with the two Hollywood icons jokingly arguing with one another throughout the panel as they shared stories from the making of the beloved film.
In a similar vain, Joe then reflected on Robert’s idea for a sequel opener and said: “My idea is way better…but we don’t have time.”
