Fans of Tipping Point were clearly unimpressed on Monday afternoon as a contestant won a rather “crap” mystery prize.
Confident Carol appeared pleasantly surprised when she received a number of counters from the machine in one drop.
But she seemed even more overjoyed when she won the mystery prize that she longed for which happened to be a bunch of flowers.
Sharing her joy over the prize, Carol thanked presenter Ben Shephard for the reward.
Ben said: “You also got your hands on the mystery prize as well. You’ve won a bouquet of fresh flowers delivered to your door every month for a year, courtesy of blossoming gifts.”
Carol replied: “That’s lovely!”
Ben said: “Isn’t that a lovely prize!”
However, fans at home quickly jumped onto Twitter to share their disappointment.
One person penned: “Crap mystery prize klaxon!”
As someone else fumed: “I think those flowers get the award for worst mystery prize #tippingpoint.”
“Wow flowers!” another sarcastically exclaimed.
Meanwhile another viewer shared: “In fact, the only game show that had worse prizes was Bullseye.”
But this wasn’t the only time, ITV viewers were left dissatisfied with the mystery prizes on the show.
Last week, a contestant named Tom managed to scoop eight counters from the Tipping Point machine including the double counter and the mystery prize.
Revealing the news about his incredible win, Ben said: “You’ve won a three-night treehouse break, courtesy of Atlantic Surf Pods. That would be fab, wouldn’t it?”
But viewers at home were quick to slam the reward, labelling it a “low budget prize”.
Taking to Twitter again, one annoyed fan shared: “Oh goody living in a garden shed up a tree for three nights.”
Another penned: “Sleep in a tree. Well, what next. #TippingPoint.”
“Sh*t prize klaxon #tippingpoint,” fumed a third viewer.
On Monday’s show, Carol didn’t do too bad for herself as she managed to beat her compeitiors to the final round.
However while in the final, she came across faily shaky and answered a few questions incorrectly.
She also wasn’t able to retrieve many counters from the machine.
Depsite the stumbling blocks, Carol walked away with £2600 which she was more than happy with.
