Rapper Lil Devin was killed at a family New Year’s Eve party after several ‘masked men’ stormed inside, his loved ones have said.
The star, real name Devin Swain, died after sustaining injuries to his chest and was pronounced dead at hospital a short time later despite the best efforts of medical teams.
Officers rushed to the house for a possible home invasion robbery, and when they arrived, they found Swain injured, reports Fox59.
The up-and-coming rapper was attacked by several masked men who entered the property, his family have said.
His brother, Donald Cox, said: “It was traumatic very traumatic some thing that I wouldn’t want anyone to ever go through. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone’s family.”

“It’s definitely hard we never really expected like something like this to come about to such a phenomenal person,” Cox said. “He was just one of those people that believed in me before I even believed in myself.”
Fans and friends have already paid tribute to the “respectful” musician.
Rashawn Samuels, 14, was coached by Swain. He said: “He was a good person and he was all about all the kids staying in school, doing good, listen to your parents. He was a good, respectful, loving person.”

“He didn’t deserve it. He was a good person,” he added.
His brother told local news that he was his biggest supporter.
Someone wrote on Twitter: “It’s heartbreaking seeing all this hurt all over social media.
“I didn’t know Lil Devin but I can tell he was LOVED. Rest in paradise.”
Another penned: “Lil Devin was truly a visionary man… RIP Lil Devin.. gone too soon.”
Hours before he died, Devin posted a wish to his fans for the New Year.
“Everybody who f**k up be tryna find they waaayyy back to me, I was real actually,” he wrote on Instagram. “Wishing Everybody A Successful 2022.”
A motive behind the masked men reportedly storming the family home by busting through the door and then attacking the rapper has not been revealed by police.

Nor whether any person has been arrested.
Fox59 reports police are investigating the incident as a homicide.
After the 24-year-old was found injuries “to his chest” by police, he was rushed to hospital.
Sadly, he was later pronounced dead after the incident on Friday night, (December 31).
Fans, friends and loved ones are hoping those behind the attack are brought to justice.
