Peter Crouch risked getting an earful from his stunning wife Abbey Clancy on the latest episode of their podcast, The Therapy Crouch.
The former footballer, 41, put his foot in it when he revealed a private message from a fan called Eilieen on X, formerly Twitter, on the Christmas episode. It was a cheeky quote about how marriages can end in bitter rows.
Peter said: “I took a picture of it. An amazing quote from someone. I wrote it in my notes. I’ve got to give her a shout-out, right. Eileen Atkinson. She sent me a message on Twitter.”

Abbey immediately told him off, replying: “Sorry, so you’re telling me you’ve got chicks sliding in [to your DMs] and you’re reading them, number one, and number two, replying, giving them shout-outs.?”
Peter didn’t seem too phased by the scolding, because he joked: “Come on, Eileen!”, quoting the hit song. model Abbey clearly saw the funny side of it, because she burst out laughing.
The quote from Eileen read: “Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning it’s all hearts and diamonds, and later on, all you want is a club or a spade.”
Peter couldn’t help giggling after reading it to his wife, who asked: “What prompted you to read that out, just now?”. The former footballer explained it was because she’d mentioned wanting to get another diamond ring.
Abbey then jokingly told Eileen to “p*** off”, but Peter decided to wind her up, declaring: “Eileen is gorgeous.” He insisted the quote was good, but Abbey disagreed, branding it “presumptuous”.
