Saturday Night Takeaway returned tonight (April 1) and chaos ensued just minutes into the episode when presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly had no choice but to move on.
The dynamic duo kicked off the show with a game of Ring My Bell which involves both the studio audience and members of the public.
Ant and Dec take over live Ring video doorbell feeds from unsuspecting members of the studio audience and if they recognise a doorbell as their own, they stand up and shout “Ding Dong! That’s my Doorbell!”

This prompts nearby neighbours to get to the chosen house in a limited time holding an item requested by Ant and Dec.
During one of the rounds, the presenters asked members of the public to run to the chosen house carrying dirty laundry.
But chaos ensued when an elderly lady named Cynthia appeared at the door, before several neighbours appeared carrying their washing.
“Cynthia, hi,” said Ant. “You’re live on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Do you have any dirty laundry with you,” he laughed.
A puzzled Cynthia didn’t respond as Ant insisted: “Cynthia, I might need to speak to the people behind you.”
As she continued to ignore them and ring the doorbell, the presenters and studio audience erupted with laughter as they watched the chaos unfold before them.
“Someone say ring my bell,” shouted Ant, directing the message to the people behind Cynthia.
“This is chaos!” exclaimed Ant before he turned to the studio audience member and apologised as he said: “I’m so sorry, we’re going to have to move on”.
Saturday Night Takeaway fans were in hysterics and raced to social media to share their thoughts.
“Cynthia giving us the best moment of the series. #SaturdayNightTakeaway,” penned one viewer.
A second added: “The funniest moment, still howling now! #SaturdayNightTakeaway.”
“Cynthia on Ant & Dec is the funniest thing I’ve seen all week,” quipped another viewer.
A fourth exclaimed: “Think Cynthia was there by accident but that’s the funniest TV moment of the year.”
