Ant McPartlin left asking ‘Where’s Dec?’ as Britain’s Got Talent presenter ‘disappears’

Ant McPartlin was left pleading “where’s Dec?” after the BGT co-host ‘disappeared’ during an act.

The hit ITV competition, fronted by the Geordie duos, was back on TV screens on Monday (May 29) for a week of semi-finals.

This year’s series of BGT has seen an array of different acts perform – from singers to daredevils and dancers.

And one of the budding entertainers hoping to be crowned the champ was French magician Enzo Weyne.

Taking to the stage, Enzo told the nation, and the audience, he needed an assistant – so he summoned Dec to take part.

The TV icon then had to get inside a rather small box, along with a camera, before being sealed inside.

However, after doing his routine, illusionist Enzo went back to open the box – only for several people to appear from the tiny crate – including a random cameraman.

With Dec nowhere to be seen, the judges looked on confused, with his pal Ant quizzing the magician: “Where’s Dec?”

Then suddenly, across the room Dec appeared in the audience waving to the camera while leaving everyone floored.

As expected, many viewers questioned how he had gone from the box to the other side of the studio so quickly and unnoticed

While others were quick to claim they had figured it out, with one person writing on Twitter: “Trap door and Enzo cleverly takes attention of the audience.”

Dec went ‘missing’ during the act

It’s fair to say the first semi-final kicked off with a bang. Earlier on, Simon Cowell made a savage dig against rival TV show, Strictly Come Dancing.

As Simon and fellow judges Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and Bruno Tonioli welcomed the show’s first act of the night, United 2 Dance, they all clamoured to heap praise on the kids for their impressive performance.

But the brutally honest judge couldn’t help but take a swipe, telling them that they were much better than dance show Strictly, dubbing them “Strictly Better Dancing.”

He went on to say it was “nice to have people who can actually dance on talent shows.”

Britain’s Got Talent airs this week on ITV1 and ITVX at 8pm
