Strictly Come Dancing has been accused of fixing the show, as fans think they know why Adam Thomas was eliminated from this year’s series and not Angela Rippon.
Viewers were left stunned on Sunday night (November 5) when former Emmerdale star Adam and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk landed themselves in the dance-off alongside Angela and her dance partner Kai Widdrington. It was unfortunately the end of the road for Adam who wasn’t saved by the judges, who opted to keep Angela in.
But fans were left confused by the decision due to Angela making a slight mishap in the dance-off. This has led some to complain that producers want to keep the 79-year-old in so she can be a part of Strictly’s famous Blackpool week.

Angela was once the face of BBC show Come Dancing as she presented Strictly’s predecessor. The popular programme was filmed in Blackpool however, none of the contestants were celebs or professional dancers.
Given Angela’s presenting history, fans at home have been left speculating whether producers had their hand in the decision to keep her on the show for another week. Heading over to X, formerly known as Twitter, frustrated fans aired their thoughts.
One viewer said: “Pfft, clearly the Producers want Angela R to go to Blackpool. I’d have saved Adam and Luba.”
Another penned: “Bless Adam, he has such a good attitude. I would prefer he stayed over Angela. I think she’ll go next, although the producers are desperate to get her to Blackpool.”
A third viewer took aim at the producers and said: “I’m gonna stick up for the Strictly judges. It is the producers who tell them who to save. The show executives want Angela in Blackpool.”
Meanwhile, another spectator accused the producers of having an “agenda”. They added: “Watching over the years you get the feeling the producers have their own agenda and out through who they want on a particular week.”
Before finding out he was going home, Adam appeared to already accept that he was leaving the show, as he filmed an awkward video at the end of Saturday night’s programme. Talking to the camera he told fans: “This is awkward, I did the best I could do, I really did. The problem is like if I’m in the dance-off now, I don’t know what else I can do.”
“But hey, it is what it is. Unfortunately, my scores weren’t great tonight.
“I felt I did a good job tonight, so I’m happy. So whatever happens tomorrow night, I can leave with my head held high but hopefully, I’m not going to be leaving because all you guys are going to be voting for me. Come on guys, lets make it happen, get me to week eight.”
