Britain’s ‘hardest’ man ‘inspired’ Brad Pitt fight scene in iconic movie

Viewers are convinced that Brad Pritt might have taken inspiration from “Britain’s hardest man” in an iconic Guy Ritchie film Snatch.

The 2000 film sees the Fight Club star cast as “One Punch” traveller bare-knuckle boxing champion.

And his character, as fans noticed, showed character traits from the legendary bare-knuckle boxer Lenny McLean.

The fighter claimed to have fought in 3,000 matches and once beat up a gang of 18 men.

In a Reddit post, one fan noticed the similarities between the staged fight scene in the movie and one from an actual boxing match involving McLean.

“I was watching an old Lenny McLean clip and realised that in the 2000 movie Snatch, Brad Pitt perfectly recreated the first few seconds of the clip identically,” they wrote.

The poster was referring to the iconic match in 1986 when McLean fought against “Mad Gypsy” Bradshaw.

The fighting scene in the boxing ring reminded viewers of a similar fight in the 80s

“From the headbutt to the touching of his nose, to his unfazed reaction, to the right haymaker that knocks out his opponent,” they continued.

Some fans rewatched the clips and compared the two fights.

“Nice catch. I’d wager that Guy Ritchie watched the fight researching for the movie or at some point. It’s an exact match,” one penned.

Another praised the Hollywood actor for doing a great job, adding: “That’s pretty cool. He looks very small compared to the real Lenny though.”

And a third added a comment: “The only difference is McLean wasn’t expecting his opponent to have a glass jaw so he took another swing.

“I feel like Lenny was upset he only got to hit him once.”

It could be possible that “Britain’s hardest man” inspired Guy Ritchie to film a scene with Brad Pitt pulling the very similar moves.

The pair had already worked together, with Lenny starring in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
