Bruce Springsteen surprised Dublin residents last night (May 6, 2023) after the rock legend stopped off for fish and chips and a pint.
The Born in the USA and Hungry Heart singer was taking a day off from his three sold out shows at Dublin’s RDS Arena on Saturday, when he stopped by a local pub The Long Hall Pub on South Great George’s Street.
Local residents had to do a double take when Bruce popped into the pub, as the singer looked unrecognisable in a flat cap, trench coat and blue shirt.

The singer enjoyed a pint as he chatted to residents – with the pub taking to social media to gush about their unexpected visitor.
Bruce had previously visited the pub in 2016 and the owners took to social media to share their joy that the rock legend had visited the venue once more.
Sharing a photograph on Twitter of Bruce raising a toast with another visitor, the pub posted: “Seven years on it was lovely to welcome back two regulars to the pub today!
“One from Aberystwyth in Wales the other from New Jersey in the US. It’s the randomness that makes it so special. Slainte!”

The Dancing In the Dark singer continued his day off with a visit to Leo Burdock in nearby Christchurch, where he tucked into lemon sole and chips – while his band opted for cod and chips.
Bruce smiled for the camera as he posed for a photograph with staff behind the counter while placing his order, with Leo Burdock’s social media page saying: “Woohoo. The Boss stopped by our flagship Christchurch. Springsteen, amazing legend.”
The shop’s owner Charlie McGrachan later opened up on them visit, telling DublinLive: “When he comes to town, over the last 10 or 12 times, we’ve managed to get him in. He’s become a regular.
“He’s such a nice guy. He’s great with any of the regular staff.
They added: “He has no problem letting people take photos of him. Just genuine. Real nice person.”
