Coronation Street fans believe they’ve figure out the secret identity of a sexy police officer and her link to an iconic character.
ITV fans tuned into the latest episode of the soap (October 17) to watch the aftermath of Peter Barlow being arrested for Stephen’s murder. As he was being questioned by DS Swain, a tall, blonde detective, some fans couldn’t help but notice she bore a striking resemblance to a street legend: Sarah Platt.
“Sarah and the lady detective really resemble each other” said one fan. “Yes I can see what you mean,” penned another. A third added: “Secret sisters”.

Sarah was left injured last week when her uncle Stephen beat her over the head in the pub, knocking her out – and even faced a round of questioning by the detective sergeant at the cop shop. With her uncle dead, Sarah was later let go, but felt guilty she hadn’t recognised his villainy from the outset.
Elsewhere on Tuesday’s episode (October 17), having injected himself with steroids, Ryan set off for a walk with Daisy, but at the precinct, he accidentally got sprayed with water as Max and Gav larked about.
Ryan saw red and pinned Gav to the ground. Daisy was stunned as Ryan broke down in tears and was shocked when he confessed he had been abusing steroids.
Back home, Ryan decided to make a change and went live on his fitness account. Removing the filter and announcing it was time to stop lying, Ryan bravely revealed his face and opened up to his followers in a livestream video, confirming he was closing the account and intended to start being himself again.

After watching the video, Daisy called at Ryan’s flat and praised his bravery. She pecked him gently on his scarred cheek, then on the lips. Ryan responded, and they started kissing passionately before having sex.
Feeling awful for cheating on Daniel, Daisy regretted getting carried away. They panicked when Daniel banged on the door.
At No.3, Dee-Dee sifted through the mail and showed Ed an envelope from a credit card company addressed to Norris Cole. Later in the cafe, Ed’s card was declined, and Joel kindly paid for Ed’s coffee with his card, both men unaware of the other’s identity.
Arriving at the Bistro for lunch with Dee-Dee and her new boyfriend, Ed was embarrassed to be introduced to Joel. Joel didn’t mention the declined card incident, and Ed covered his embarrassment when Joel paid for lunch.
