It’s fair to say the Rovers Return is one of the most well-known pubs in all of soapland which holds a wealth of history throughout Coronation Street ’s 60-year reign on our screens.
But things are set to take a turn for the worse this week when landlady Jenny Connor faces money troubles that could put the historic building out of business.
Over the next few days, ITV fans can be expected to be glued to their screens as they watch the beloved pub battle through a series of financial struggles.

The legendary pub has had many landlords and landladies over the years and has housed some of the most dramatic scenes across the shows history.
Now, Daily Star has put one of the world’s most popular artificially intelligent “creative” tools Bard AI through its paces to crown the best owner since the show’s first conception – and it’s not who you’d expect.
When asked who the best landlord to manage the legendary pub was, the programme definitively gave the top spot to Annie Walker.
The AI system explained how the northern matriarch was “widely regarded” as the best landlord after proudly holding the reigns for 46 years between 1937 to 1975.
Throughout the show’s early years, the gobby landlord quickly became a beloved figure on the cobbles and ran the business with a firm hard.
It stated: “Annie was a strong and independent woman who ran the pub with a firm hand, but she was also fair and compassionate.
“She was always there for her regulars, whether they were celebrating a special occasion or going through a tough time.”
The loving landlord didn’t have an easy time during her tenure on the soap which was filled with several memorable moments.
Loyal fans will remember the owner being held hostage by burglars, delivering Vera Duckworth’s baby and standing up for Deirdre Barlow when Mike Baldwin’s cheating antics came to light during her ITV stint.
The program went on to brand the landlady a “true icon of Coronation Street” who will “always be remembered as one of the best landlords the Rovers has ever had.”

The AI system went on to add a few memorable mentions of previous owners who had also proved their worth over the years.
This included Bet Gilroy, Vera Duckworth, Natalie Barnes, Steve and Liz McDonald and Stella Price.
But only time will tell if Jenny’s name will be added to that list, or whether someone new will take over the pub and steal her spot.
