Dan Walker says 'face is coming on nicely' as he shares snap after bloody accident

Dan Walker has revealed his “face is coming on nicely” after his horror bike crash last week.

The Channel 5 presenter took to Twitter on Tuesday (February 28) to update fans on his recovery following the nasty accident last week which left him with a bloodied face.

The former BBC Breakfast presenter narrowly avoided death on his bike last Monday when his bike collided with a car in Sheffield.

Dan admitted he was “glad to be alive” after the collision and is still unable to remember details about the event.

But luckily, his injuries are now healing and it’s clear in a new snap shared by Dan on Tuesday, where his face looked a lot =less bruised and bloody than it did.

Dan posed for a sweet snap which showed him smiling alongside his adorable dog Winnie, where he told fans he was hoping to get back to work soon.

He wrote: “Took Winnie for a walk and a haircut today. She’s much happier than she looks and smells gorgeous.

“Face coming on nicely. Hopefully back in buisness soon. Thanks for all your lovely messages.”

Fans and friends flocked to support Dan beneath the tweet, with ITV presenter Sally Biddulph writing: “You look so much better Dan. So good to see xx”

One fan penned: “Your face is healing up really well. Nelson’s Arnica Cream is very good for bruising. Most pharmacies sell it.”

Another added: “Great to see you looking a lot better.”

It comes after Dan revealed he had reached out to the driver involved in the accident and was hoping to resolve the matter “outside of court.”

In his latest column for The Times, he wrote: “I can’t go into details at the moment because the police might take another week or so to publish their report but, after talking to Conor (a police officer), I am confident that I am not to blame and I hope this can be resolved outside the courts.”

He added: “I know I could have died but I also know how easy it is to make a mistake, even when you’re trying to be careful.”

Dan said that he cannot remember what the driver looked like but recalled that they looked deeply distressed.

The former Strictly star also feared that the crash might be “all they are thinking about at the moment.”
