EastEnders star Diane Parish revealed she thinks her character, Denise Fox, could be heavily involved with the whodunnit plot set to unravel over Christmas.
EastEnders sent fans into a frenzy last month after an episode marking the soap’s 38th anniversary ended with a flash-forward to Christmas 2023, where six of Walford’s matriarchs stood around a dead body in the Queen Vic.
For the first time in history, the BBC soap gave a glimpse into the future and featured a scene set to air in 10 months time.

The flashforward scene shows Denise, Sharon, Linda, Kathy, Suki and Stacey, now nicknamed, The Six, looking on in horror as they gather around the lifeless body of an unidentified man, with one of them tipped to be the killer.

The mystery whodunnit plot is likely to keep fans guessing until the very end, and now Diane has shared her theory on who the killer could be.
The actress, who has starred as Denise since 2006, said: “I don’t dare say who it is, because I’m quite good at guessing things and I don’t want to say it and blow it.
“But in terms of whodunnit, I don’t know why but I think it’s me. I’m really scared it’s me, so I might have to make some plans, because I might be going down. If anyone out there can help me, help me.”

The 53-year-old added: “But no, I have absolutely no idea, and it could be any one of us because there’s so many strong stories going on with all six of us.
“We call ourselves ‘the six’ and with all of us we’re all driving towards a very clear point in terms of trouble, problems with the men in our lives, so there’s a lot going on for all of us so it literally could be any one of us.”

Denise is currently battling with her feelings for Ravi Gulati, all while trying to remain faithful to her husband, Jack Branning.
Denise and Ravi have shared several passionate kisses over the past few weeks, culminating in the pair heading to a hotel together to take things further.
As things started to get steamy, Denise decided she couldn’t go through with it and proceeded to end things between them – but is it really over for good?
